Great excitement as our students who have just completed the exam in the Higher Certificate in Criminal Law Enforcement programme (CLEP) are starting their internship with Cape Nature. The new interns will be divided into five groups, monitoring a 40km stretch of coast from Vermont to De Kelders. On 16 September, students of the Criminal Law Enforcement Programme (CLEP) visited the Hermanus New Harbour with the aim of gaining insight into the processes of the Harbour and the work experience of compliance officers. Compliance Manager Mzwandile Grootboom and his team presented the work done by the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries (DEFF), sharing their working experience at Hermanus New Harbour and the surrounding coastal area.
